WILL YOU BE BOO'S VOICE AND HELP US MAKE CHANGES AT THE CITY OF CHICAGO COMMISSION ON ANIMAL CONTROL AND CARE?

Sunday, 21 November 2010

To:  Mayor of the City of Chicago
Will you please be Boo’s voice (you can search for “Will you be my voice, Boo’s movie” at YouTube.com and see her entire story) and help us:

Make sure that animals taken by the City of Chicago Commission on Animal Care and Control are not withheld from their legal owners for days at a time because the staff is incompetent and unable to locate paperwork;

Make sure that no animal is released from the facility with ANY virus without being treated or at the very least their owner being notified that they are ill;

That the director, Cherie Travis, and her staff be held accountable for the treatment of Daisy, Iz and I, and for leaving my sister Moto behind.

That all staff members and volunteers be trained properly in order to care for animals;

That the facility be cleaned to remove any contagious viruses and any animals with contagious viruses within the facility be quarantined and treated;

That cages within the facility not house more than their capacity. To avoid overcrowding of animals in confined spaces;

That animals taken by the facility not be driven around the City of Chicago in trucks for hours at a time; and

That animals not be left on loading docks for days and hours until they are processed.

Sincerely,
